As parents, we simply aren't satisfied with the kids' apps available today.
We're a team of native mobile development veterans with a combined 85 years of experience from leading companies like Google, Reddit, Salesforce, Fitbit, and numerous past startups. But what truly drives us is being parents of school-aged children. This gives us unique insight and a deep personal commitment to building a mobile-first platform that genuinely inspires and educates young minds, while deliberately moving away from unhealthy and unhelpful mobile design patterns.
We know that apps designed for adults—with their engagement-driven advertising and distracting monetization models—just don't work for children. That's why we're fundamentally changing the approach, creating a space where learning and exploration can truly thrive, free from those common distractions and nuisances.
We believe it’s time to revolutionize how valuable content is delivered to this massive, yet often underserved, market. We're building something truly different: an app that engages, inspires, and educates without the compromises of current offerings.
We are also firm believers in the power of open source, with experience writing popular libraries for mobile development. We believe that collaboration and shared knowledge drive innovation forward, building a more robust, transparent, and ultimately better platform for everyone.
We're committed to building in the open where we can, and giving back to the community that empowers so many of us to create. A core goal of our team is to actively contribute to open source and open data initiatives, especially within the Kotlin Multiplatform ecosystem.
Beyond code, we believe in working in the open to empower the next generation. As established mentors to other engineers, we're dedicated to helping young minds influence tech now and thrive in STEM careers, no matter their background.
